Rehearsals and Recital
Rehearsals
Rehearsals will be held Wednesday, June 22nd and Thursday, June 23rd at the Todd Performing Arts Center at Chesapeake College. All students participating in the recital are required to attend rehearsals in full costume unless the teacher informs you otherwise. A detailed schedule will be posted in the front office by May 1st, 2011.
Recital
EACH & EVERY class will learn at least one dance which will be performed in our 2011 Dance Recital. Recitals will be held at the Todd Performing Arts Center at Chesapeake College on Saturday, June 25th, and Sunday, June 26th. Specific times will be announced closer to the date. The recital is not mandatory, but is a goal the students look forward to achieving throughout the year. Remember!! If you do not intend to participate in the recital, you must inform us in writing by December 1st, otherwise your account will be assessed a non-refundable recital fee.
Costume Information
Students will be measured for recital costumes the week of November 15th-November 22nd, 2010.
Recital Costumes will be ordered by December 1st, 2010. Costume fees will include all accessories (tights, hair pieces, rhinestones, etc.) as well as taxes, shipping and administrative costs. Please be aware that once costumes are ordered, all fees are non-refundable as costume companies DO NOT accept cancellations. Your December Invoice will reflect all costume fees.
Recital Fees
There is a $35 recital fee paid by ALL students who wish to participate in our dance recital. The fee covers renting the venue and dressing rooms for rehearsals and recitals, operation costs (lights, props, music, etc.), administrative costs, programs, trophies, teachers' time, and much more.
If a student chooses not to perform in the recital you must notify RDP in writing on or before December 1st or the non-refundable recital fee will be assessed to your December account.
The recital fee does not include tickets. You may pre-order your tickets beginning June 1st, 2011.
